Yes. CleanMyMacOS runs fully sandboxed and is App Store approved. It uses a multi-layered SafetyPolicyEngine with allowlists and blocklists. Critical data like Keychains, Mail, Photos, and SSH keys are permanently blocked from deletion. Everything moves to Trash by default — you can always undo.

Does CleanMyMacOS collect any data?
No. CleanMyMacOS has zero telemetry. No data ever leaves your Mac. The app doesn't phone home, doesn't track usage, and doesn't send analytics. Your privacy is absolute.
Can I get a refund?
Subscriptions are managed through the Mac App Store. You can cancel anytime through System Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions. Refund requests are handled by Apple through their standard process.
What macOS versions are supported?
CleanMyMacOS requires macOS 14 (Sonoma) or later. It's built with Swift 6 and SwiftUI, taking advantage of the latest Apple frameworks including the Observation framework.
Why is CleanMyMacOS sandboxed?
Sandboxing is Apple's security model for App Store apps. It means CleanMyMacOS can only access folders you explicitly grant permission to, can't run arbitrary shell commands, and can't access other apps' data without your consent. For maintenance tasks requiring admin privileges, the app shows you the exact command to run in Terminal yourself.
